I heard someone say the other day that the bite of a White Lipped
viper
isn't much more serious than a bee sting. Don't know if he has ever
been
bit by his before though.
Obviously not. Their bite is very painfull and can be debilitaiting
for a short period of time. It is considered mild because it probobly
won't kill you.

I don't know what you consider serious but several years ago at the
Hamburg PA reptile show I was showing off my newest acquisition, a very
small white lip, when a stranger asked if I had experience with them.
Telling him no but I had heard they weren't that venomous, I was shocked
when he showed me pictures of him in a hospital bed looking like death
warmed over. He had gotten bitten by one the same size as the one I had
in my little deli cup. Seemed serious to me.
