Reptile identification

Could anybody identify this lizard for me?

The picture is taken in Ubud, Bali. The lizard lived in a stone wall next to
a river and was seen both walking and swimming.

It is probably a varanid, but what species is beyond my knowledge of the
group. Komodo dragons (Varanus komodoensis, if I am not mistaken) are
in the same family (Varanidae).
