Along a walk in North Caicos (part of Turks & Caicos) two lizards were
pointed out to me. Could someone please help and identify them?

It looks like a skink of some sort, perhaps a _Mabuya_ species. You might
want to search online for that genus.

The first lizard is a clearly gecko of some sort, the second one
is a skink.

http://academic.uprm.edu/publications/cjs/VOL22/P191-198.PDF

mentions the geckos
_Sphaerodactylus caicosensis_ and _Aristelliger hechti_
and the skink _Mabuya mabouya_ as being present
there.

Google image searches finds:

with

[seemingly not a match for your gecko]
and

[apparently much better]

as well as

which seems to confirm your skink's ID
cheers
