My friends and I spotted this snake at Lake Walchensee in Bavaria
recently:

(2 pictures, around 130kb each. no adverts except whatever google puts
up there...)

Does anyone know what sort it is?

Hello,

I think this could be a Natrix natrix, german Ringelnatter,
(english ringsnake?) with white spots, black framed behind
the occiput.
