on 30 may - mid day rather cool
our pitbull found a rather unusual find.
he has been known to find and kill every snake he has encountered.
this time he was overly excited and cautious.

went to investigate his problem and much to my amazement the snake
shook his RATTLER AT ME AND COILED -suprised I called the dog off and
ran and brought my 3yr old over to see this.

the snake did have rattles and was not agressive because of the TEMP.

What is unusual is that I am located 60 miles south of Chicago- along
the kankakee river. Not know for rattle snakes - but could this be a
timber rattler ?
is there a location where i can post a photo for all to see .
